Italian Champion Merino Cycling Jersey, White-Red-Green

Worn by Fiorenzo Magni in 1954, the tricolor national champion design sports the classic Italian flag colors: Green, white, red. It was among the first champions jerseys ever made with a zipper and it was originally made by De Marchi for Fiorenzo Magni back in the day. The year is 1954 and the Italian Road Championship ends in Legnano with the traditional Coppa Bernocchi, to honor the local entepreneur and philanthropist. It's the 5th stage and for the first time is held as a chrono. Coppi wins easy and Magni is only 7th overall but beacuse of the advantage he accumulated on the previous 4 stages he will end up in triumph.
