To celebrate De Marchi’s 75th Anniversary we started a new fabric development that bridges tradition with high performances and created a new paradigm in cycling shorts. For the first time ever, thanks to woven technology De Marchi has blended natural silk with recycled elastic fiber for incredible compression with nearly half the weight compared to regular cycling shorts. Powersilk is not only lighter than regular shorts’ fabrics but also more breathable, wind-resistant and anti-wrinkle. Plus, the mix of recycled nylon and natural silk allows for a sustainable production chain that drastically reduces environmental impact and waste. Newly-conceived integrated leg grippers are laser cut and seamless at the bottom for optimal compression and incredible comfort. Another exclusive innovation is our latest race-ready Elastic Interface HCS chamois pad that provides cushioning never seen before thanks to hybrid cell elastomeric cushioning elements which will make you feel like suspended in air. Possibly, the most comfortable chamois pad ever created. Anatomically shaped for road racing, the HCS chamois is also an average 20% lighter than the one featured in our previous Perfecto Leggero Bib whilst delivering approximately the double in cushioning power! A remarkable result obtained thanks to obsessive in-house research & development. Naturally bacteria-static, the new HCS chamois is also hypoallergenic and anti-odor. The new Superleggero Bib is our lightest-ever short therefore is born to perform in hot and humid weather but it also work great with normal temperatures in transitional seasons. Furtherly improved for 2023, the new Superleggero Bib short now features flat-locked seams in key friction panels.
