An industry-first when originally introduced by De Marchi in 1993, the “Wind-Jersey” has since undergone several iterations and it’s now been perfected for 2021 thanks to super-stretch Italian 3-ply laminate fabric that provides total wind-proofing and water resistance as opposed to partial as per the previous versions. Plus it features a built-in base-layer functionality thanks to 100% Superfine Merino Wool next to the skin that allows for extra breathability. The outer layer is now made of entirely recycled nylon 6/6 that is finely woven for maximum freedom of movement.Recommended for use in Spring and Autumn with temperatures ranging from approximately 8 to 16°C (46-60°F), when used alone, the Cortina is also perfect over a further fine Merino base to extend its range of closer to freezing point, although subject to personal taste. Sporting and higher stand, jacket-like doubled collar and insulated sleeves, the Cortina also features a fully-divisible, reverse coil camlock zipper with inner windproof flap, oversized double reflective stripes on the sides that extend to both front and back of the jersey to provide virtual 360° visibility and four back pockets of which one is zippered and insulated.

The link between a cycling jacket and a short-sleeved jersey: De Marchi introduced the first "Magliavento" model thirty years ago, and since then, it has been continuously perfected and evolved to continue providing shelter from the wind. The laminated three-layer hydro-repellent fabric is perfect for cycling even when weather conditions are not ideal.
When worn next to the skin, its Merino wool inner lining is excellent as an intimate layer. When paired with the right thermal jersey, you can train even in very low temperatures. Don't wait for the cloud to pass or for the wind to stop blowing: wear the Cortina Wind Jersey and enjoy your training
